The school offers a unique learning style and a creative approach to supporting students with severe autism and complex needs. They are looking for strong, experienced Teaching Assistants who will not simply do the bare minimum, but will go above and beyond to make a genuine difference to the lives of these children.
The role:
- Supporting students with severe autism and complex needs
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support
- Helping students develop their communication, social and life skills
- Supporting with sensory activities and creative learning
- Managing challenging behaviour calmly and confidently
- Providing personal care when required
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff
The ideal candidate:
- Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Is active, energetic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Is confident supporting challenging behaviour
- Is patient, resilient and caring
- Is reliable and committed to the role
- Is willing to go above and beyond for the students
