Remedy Education are currently looking for an experienced and reliable School Cook to join a welcoming SEN school in Woodford from September 2026. This is a part-time, ongoing supply opportunity working 2 days per week, from 10am to 2pm.

You'll be responsible for preparing and serving fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staff, while maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen. The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a school environment and is confident catering for children and young people with a range of additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staff.
  • Follow agreed menus, dietary requirements and food safety procedures.
  • Cater for pupils with allergies and specific dietary needs.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food preparation.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised and fully stocked.
  • Manage food preparation and service independently.
  • Follow HACCP and school food safety procedures.
  • Work closely with school staff to ensure meals are prepared and served on time.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working as a Cook or Chef, ideally within a school, care or similar setting.
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
  • Experience preparing meals for children or young people is desirable.
  • Awareness of allergies and special dietary requirements.
  • Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
  • A positive and friendly approach when working within an SEN school environment.
