Remedy are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary academy to recruit an experienced and passionate Pastoral Manager to join their dedicated support staff team. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed individual who is driven to improve student outcomes through strong pastoral care, attendance strategies, and behaviour support.
The Role
As a Pastoral Manager, you will take responsibility for the attendance, behaviour and welfare of a designated cohort of students. You will play a key role in removing barriers to learning, promoting positive engagement, and ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on attendance and punctuality strategies for your cohort, working closely with senior leaders
- Monitor daily attendance and implement targeted interventions where concerns arise
- Conduct home visits and welfare checks where necessary
- Promote positive behaviour and high standards across the school
- Support students' wellbeing and act on student voice feedback
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
- Contribute to safeguarding, health and safety, and overall student welfare
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to improvement planning

- Experience working in a pastoral, behaviour, or attendance-focused role within education
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
