Remedy Education are working with a lovely Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Canning Town who are looking for an Early Years Lead Teacher to join them from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years Teacher who is ready to take on a lead role within a welcoming, well-resourced and supportive school environment.

The school is a brilliant setting with a warm staff team, supportive leadership and a lovely environment for both children and staff. The site benefits from excellent facilities, including large halls and a spacious playground, giving children plenty of room to learn, play, regulate and feel settled throughout the day. The school is also well located with good transport links, making it accessible for staff travelling across East London.

The successful teacher will lead within the Early Years provision, supporting high-quality teaching and learning while helping children build strong foundations in communication, confidence, independence and early development.

The role will involve:

  • Leading teaching and learning within Early Years
  • Planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons
  • Supporting children's communication, social development and independence
  • Creating a calm, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
  • Working closely with support staff and the wider school team
  • Using observations and assessment to support children's next steps
  • Building positive relationships with parents, carers and staff
  • Supporting high standards across the Early Years provision

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS
  • Has strong Early Years teaching experience
  • Understands the EYFS curriculum and early child development
  • Can lead by example and support others within the setting
  • Is warm, organised, creative and professional
  • Has strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Can create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Is ready to take responsibility within Early Years
