Lewisham Council – Network Telephony Engineer
Management of the network infrastructure and resources (including any bought-in services) required to plan for, develop, deliver and support Digital services and products to contribute to the achievement of the Council’s corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for network specification and design.
- Produce network design policies, philosophies and criteria covering connectivity, capacity, interfacing, security, resilience, recovery, access and remote access.
- Deliver agile, evergreen services.
- Create and maintain overall network plans to support the Council’s business strategy.
- Agree service level agreements with business users.
- Plan all aspects of the infrastructure necessary to ensure provision of voice and data network services to meet such agreements.
- Support the council’s evaluation and migration from PSTN to VoIP networking, ensuring all assets are mapped and transitioned in line with industry standards.
