Our client Leicester City Council is looking for a Childcare Social Worker to join their Children in Need team.
- Works with children and families where additional support is needed to improve wellbeing and safety.
- Completes Child in Need assessments and develops support plans.
- Identifies risks, strengths, and needs within families.
- Provides direct support and intervention to children and parents.
- Monitors children's development, safety, and welfare through regular visits.
- Works to prevent family breakdown and reduce escalation to child protection.
- Coordinates services and support from education, health, and community agencies.
- Attends multi-agency meetings, Child in Need reviews, and planning meetings.
- Builds positive relationships with children and families to promote change.
