We are currently recruiting for a confident and experienced HLTA-level practitioner to join a large mainstream Secondary school based in Lewisham. This will be starting September and will be up until July 2027. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with SEN and SEMH needs, particularly within alternative provision, PRUs, or specialist settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering targeted small group and 1:1 support across KS3-KS4
- Supporting pupils with behavioural needs and emotional regulation
- Leading pre-planned sessions where required
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students
- Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
- Creating a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting SEN and/or SEMH pupils
- Background in alternative provision, PRUs, nurture groups, or high-needs settings
- Ability to remain calm, resilient, and adaptable in challenging situations
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
