Haringey Council - Principal Advisor for Early Years

Lead on service improvements and ensure alignment with Ofsted and EYFS standards. Provide consistent leadership across settings, ensuring safe, high-quality provision. Address operational issues promptly, including staffing, incidents, or complaints. Oversee Ofsted readiness and support post-inspection actions. Ensure robust safeguarding practices and statutory compliance across all nurseries. Act as the strategic lead for serious safeguarding concerns or escalations. Support and guide nursery managers, especially during periods of absence or instability. Oversee staff development and ensure effective supervision and performance monitoring. Manage budgets effectively to ensure financial stability and appropriate use of resources. Monitor funding streams and staffing levels to balance quality and cost-efficiency. Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and internal teams. Represent the nurseries in council meetings and external partnerships.
