About the Role: A busy and supportive Secondary school in Greenwich is looking to appoint a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with school-based finance experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments in line with school financial procedures
  • Assist in budget monitoring and provide administrative support to the School Business Manager
  • Maintain accurate records of income, expenditure, and financial transactions
  • Liaise with suppliers, staff, and external agencies regarding financial queries
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for leadership and governors
  • Ensure compliance with all school finance and audit policies

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a school finance or administrative role, MUST HAVE FMS and SIMS experience
  • Strong numeracy and IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
