Date: September 2026 About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and proactive School Facilities Manager (Caretaker) to help ensure our school remains a safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.
This is a varied and rewarding role that is essential to the smooth day-to-day operation of the school.
The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards across the site, working closely with the Site Manager to support the effective management of the school premises.
Key Responsibilities Site Security and Access Open and close the school premises in accordance with the agreed shift pattern.
Act as a key holder and respond to emergency call-outs when required.
Ensure the security of buildings, grounds, and equipment at all times.
Carry out regular site checks and report any security concerns promptly.
Facilities and Maintenance Undertake basic maintenance, repairs, and general caretaking duties.
Ensure the school grounds and buildings are kept clean, safe, and presentable.
Carry out routine tasks such as litter picking, minor repairs, and site inspections.
