Remedy Education is currently looking for a reliable and caring Midday Meal Supervisor to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Woodford Green from September 2026. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants a role that fits around school hours. You will be responsible for helping to ensure pupils have a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime, both in the dining area and outside in the playground.
The Role
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime and ensure their safety at all times
- Support children in the dining hall and playground
- Encourage positive behaviour and good manners
- Help children develop their social skills and independence
- Deal calmly and appropriately with any minor behaviour issues
- Encourage pupils to play safely and include others in activities
- Support children who may need additional help during lunchtime
- Report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate member of staff
- Work as part of the wider school team to maintain a positive lunchtime environment
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children, either in a school or similar setting
- Is patient, friendly and approachable
- Can communicate confidently with primary-aged children
- Has good behaviour management skills
- Is reliable, punctual and able to commit to Monday-Friday
- Can remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations
- Takes safeguarding and children's welfare seriously
- Is happy working both indoors and outdoors
Previous school experience is desirable but not essential. The most important thing is having the right attitude and enjoying working with children.
