The role will involve:
- Planning and delivering engaging English lessons
- Teaching across the relevant secondary year groups
- Supporting pupils to develop their reading, writing and analytical skills
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Working closely with colleagues to support pupil achievement
The ideal candidate will have:
- QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification - essential
- Experience teaching English
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Good knowledge of the English curriculum
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils and raising attainment
