Job Description

English Teacher – Greenwich

Remedy Education is working with an Ofsted graded ‘Outstanding’ secondary school based in Greenwich who are recruiting for a temporary teacher of English to join their team ASAP for the rest of the academic year on a full-time basis. You will be required to become fully immersed in the department and school by attending departmental meetings and being available for parents’ evenings as and when required. Additionally, you will deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes. Regularly mark work and provide feedback to students. You will be teaching classes across both Key Stage 3 & 4.

The role is open to newly qualified teachers (ECT) as well as teachers with more experience; we pay from M1 to M6 (sometimes we can also pay through threshold if you have done so, depending on the role).

  2. Position: English Teacher
  3. Start date: ASAP
  4. Rates of pay: £230 – £250 per day
  5. Hours: 8:15 am – 4:00 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  1. QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent
  2. Previous experience working in a UK school
  3. Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)
  4. Up-to-date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however training can be provided)
  5. Up-to-date behaviour management & FGM training (essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH REMEDY, YOU MUST:

  1. Hold Right to Work in the UK
  2. Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one
  3. Provide two professional references
