Role Overview
We are working with a range of SEN schools in Enfield (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement
- Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
- Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
- Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations
- Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- PGCE or equivalent training
- Experience or strong interest in SEN education (primary or secondary)
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
