Our client St.
Helens MBC is looking for a Team manager to join their Child protection team.
The role of the Duty Team Manager is to manage a Duty team of 6 social workers, one social work assistant, with the support of one assistant team manager.
The Duty Service, responds to all referrals from the front door and completes all children and family assessments.
It will be the role of the Duty Manager to ensure the timely allocation and oversight of all allocations of assessments in the team and then subsequent plans that follow.
The Duty Service doesn't hold cases on a long term basis and has transfer points at the point of ICPC, PLO or the issuing of care proceedings.
The team will hold some child in need work that is not complex, where the CIN plan can be managed on a short term basis. , ore complex child in need will also transfer.
The right candidate therefore will have experience in oversight and managing sec 47 investigations, multi agency working, experience of providing support and supervision, managing performance, and management of risk and care planning.
The right candidate will need to ensure high standards of practice and ensuring the welfare of staff and wellbeing in the team.
You will be part of a wider management team with 3 other experienced duty team managers, and will receive regular supervision and support from the Head of Service Benefits of working with Remedy
