Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher or Tutor looking for flexible and rewarding work?

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Core Subject SEN Tutors to join our team in North Derbyshire.

You'll be providing one-to-one tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to build confidence, re-engage with learning and achieve positive educational outcomes.

Students may have a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, etc.

  • Role Requirements
  • Location: North Derbyshire
  • Subjects: Core Subjects
  • DBS: An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring experience is desirable.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised one-to-one lessons tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style.
  • Deliver tuition in core subjects, including English, Maths and Science.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support students with a range of SEN and barriers to learning.
  • Build positive relationships that promote confidence, engagement and a love of learning.
  • Monitor and assess progress, adapting lesson plans where appropriate to maximise outcomes.
  • Complete weekly reports and provide regular feedback on attendance, engagement and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, local authorities and the Remedy Tutors team to ensure students receive the best possible support.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and professionalism at all times.
