Our client Conwy county borough council is looking for a Children's Social Worker to join their MASH team. We have an opportunity that has become available for a temporary experienced Social Worker to work alongside the MASH team in our Children, Families and Safeguarding Service.

The suitable candidate will be expected to deliver a high quality duty social work service to Children and their families at the front door referral point within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The MASH Social Workers are expected to support the Team Manager in the triage of referrals and undertake the appropriate action to make and support decisions at the entry point for services. This will include signposting and short interventions.

The role will be undertaken in accordance with the Social Services and Wellbeing Act (2014) and the All Wales Safeguarding Procedures.

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Social Work Qualified, minimum 3 years post qualified plus technology & software skills
  • Registered with Social Care Wales
  • Child Protection and S47 trained and experience
  • Team work & interpersonal skills

The assignment is for 37HPW, Monday - Friday. There is an expectation that candidate lives locally or within a commutable distance as the position is located in Conwy County. The worker will work from the office - Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay, Conwy. The assignment is expected to last approximately 12 weeks with potential to be extended.
