Haringey Council are looking for a Children's Commissioning Project Manager to join their service.

About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Project Manager to join our dynamic Commissioning team within the Children's Services Directorate. This pivotal role will lead commissioning transformation work aligned to the Safety Valve Programme, focusing on both Pre-16 and Post-16 learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- You will be instrumental in shaping and delivering commissioning strategies that improve outcomes for children and young people, ensure value for money, and reduce reliance on high-cost placements.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commissioning projects that support the development of sustainable, needs-led services for children and young people with SEND.
- Drive improvements in service delivery through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Support the implementation of frameworks and agreements that enhance quality, consistency, and cost control across commissioned services.
- Contribute to the development of local and regional commissioning arrangements, ensuring alignment with sufficiency strategies and preparation for adulthood pathways.
- Monitor and evaluate commissioned services to ensure they meet agreed outcomes and deliver best value.
- Requirements Proven experience in a commissioning or project management role within a Local Authority, particularly in Children's Services or SEND.
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes for education placements, therapies, and transition services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes. Experience in developing and managing contractual frameworks, including provider agreements and performance monitoring tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment.
