Our client Bury council is looking for a Children's Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities team.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing the needs of children with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, complex health needs, or other additional needs.
- Completing statutory assessments under relevant children's legislation.
- Developing and reviewing care and support plans.
- Safeguarding children who may be at risk of neglect, abuse, or exploitation.
- Working closely with families, schools, health professionals, therapists, and other agencies.
- Coordinating services such as respite care, direct payments, specialist support, and short breaks.
- Supporting transitions to adulthood for older teenagers.
- Attending child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings where required.
- Maintaining accurate case records and reports.
