Our client Bury council is looking for a Children's Advanced Practitioner to join their Family Safeguarding team.

  • Lead on complex safeguarding cases involving children at risk of harm
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and supervision to social workers
  • Carry out advanced assessments and develop robust protection plans
  • Work under key legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and Children Act 2004
  • Chair or contribute to child protection conferences and strategy meetings
  • Liaise with multi-agency partners (police, schools, health services)
  • Ensure high-quality practice and compliance with safeguarding procedures
  • Support staff development, mentoring, and practice improvement
