Our client Trafford council is looking for a Best Interest Assessor to join their Social care team.
Key Responsibilities Undertake timely Best Interests Assessments in line with the Mental Capacity Act and Do LS legislation Complete high-quality, evidence-based assessments and reports Manage a varied caseload, ensuring all work is prioritised effectively Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary professionals and care providers Contribute to maintaining internal assessment capacity, reducing reliance on external providers Ensure practice is compliant with legal frameworks, local policy, and best practice guidance Essential Requirements - Qualified Social Worker, Nurse, OT, or Psychologist with BIA qualification Experience completing Do LS assessments within a local authority setting Strong working knowledge of: Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (Do LS) Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities Excellent report-writing and analytical skills Benefits of working with Remedy A personal one-one service from your highly experienced dedicated consultant.
