Behaviour Mentor

Mainstream Primary School – DagenhamFull-Time | Immediate Start

A mainstream primary school in Dagwnham is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 support for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The role focuses on building trust, supporting emotional regulation, and helping pupils succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Applicants with backgrounds in sports coaching, psychology, youth work, or specialist SEMH provisions are encouraged to apply. Training in Positive Handling, Team Teach, MAPA or similar approaches will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and resilience
  • Support pupils during lessons, interventions and unstructured times of the day
  • Work closely with teachers, parents and external professionals to ensure consistent support
