We are working with a supportive school in Lewisham, seeking a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism. This is a rewarding role for someone patient, consistent and confident supporting children with additional needs in a structured environment. You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them to access learning, manage sensory needs and develop communication and independence skills.

The Role

  • Support pupils with autism in the classroom
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Assist with communication using visuals, PECS or other strategies
  • Support emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Help maintain clear routines and structure
  • Support personal care where required
  • Work closely with teachers and the SEN team
