Are you an SEN Teacher looking for a new role in South East London? Or are you a Mainstream Teacher with a passion for teaching children with SEN, specifically ASD?

Remedy is currently looking for an ASD Teacher for a warm and welcoming Specialist School who offer education and support for children with Autism. This is a full time, long-term role starting ASAP for the rest of the academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent.

The School

Specialist therapeutic and academic support in welcoming and friendly settings, this SEN school in Lambeth, South East London cater for children and students who have been diagnosed with Autism. Special education programmes offer small class sizes for an individualised approach. All classes are supported by both a teacher and 2 or more teaching assistants. All staff are highly skilled and offered the very best of up-to-date training in an ever-evolving field. Facilities here are state of the art, making teaching easier and learning more accessible.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, delivering and assessing work for pupils with ASD
  • Working with TAs to ensure support is both appropriate and effective
  • Updating and setting targets for children
  • Working alongside other staff including medical professionals and therapists
  • Using specialist equipment where necessary

Requirements

  • Full QTS
  • Previous experience teaching children with ASD
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
