Aspire People is partnering with a Primary School in Peterborough to find an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team starting from February Half Term 2025. This role involves supporting a young child with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) in a mainstream classroom. Experience with SEND is preferred for this temp – perm position, which runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Requirements: – Confident and experienced in supporting children with challenging behaviour – Comfortable with providing personal care when necessary – Able to adapt to the child's varying moods and needs Main Duties and Responsibilities: – Provide 1:1 support for a SEND pupil – Create a safe and supportive learning environment for the pupil and others in the class – Help the pupil stay focused on lesson plans and activities – Adapt support methods based on the child's mood and needs each day – Follow safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures -If you have a caring, patient, and calming nature, we'd love to hear from you!
