1:1 SEN Tutor Required - Cheshunt (EN8) ASAP Start £30-£35 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced and resilient 1:1 tutor to support a Year 11 male student in Functional Skills Maths, English, and PSHE.

Location: Student's home in Cheshunt (EN8)

Hours: 10 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10:00am - 12:30pm

Pay: £30-£35 per hour

Start: ASAP

About the student: The student has a diagnosis of ADHD and experiences significant challenges with emotional regulation. He can become overwhelmed quickly, which may lead to disengagement, avoidance, or occasional outbursts. He is currently not accessing education in a school setting. Despite this, he demonstrates strong reading ability and average cognitive skills, suggesting clear potential. He is currently underachieving due to difficulties with focus, attention, and emotional regulation. The successful tutor will play a key role in helping him re-engage with learning and build confidence.

The ideal tutor will:

  • Hold QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
  • Have experience working with students with ADHD and SEMH needs
  • Be calm, patient, and confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Be able to deliver engaging, tailored Functional Skills Maths and English sessions
  • Incorporate PSHE and emotional regulation strategies into sessions
  • Hold a valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)

This is a rewarding opportunity for a tutor who is confident working 1:1 with students who require a nurturing but structured approach.
