Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Review the project deliverables with the initial focus on the town centre hub with relevant directors and heads of service to gain a thorough understanding of the required output, and work up a project delivery plan to identify services in scope and key timelines.
- Work up the engagement strategy and create and maintain project tracker documentation to include stakeholder mapping, timelines and project milestones.
- Check and test requirements and consider and create innovative opportunities to optimise the project outputs.
- Identify key requirements for services in scope in terms of space needs and enabling technology recognising the need to ensure service provision is as effective and efficient as possible.
- Ensure the project management and governance arrangements are structured to successfully deliver against the project(s) outcomes.
- Monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to all stakeholders, including preparing reports for submission to project governance boards, setting out progress on the project(s) and making recommendations for decisions and any other information as necessary.
- Ensure regular contact and day to day engagement with a large and varying number of groups/individuals at senior level both internal and external to the Council to provide advice, direction and recommendations and to ensure effective project delivery.
- Liaise with the Head of Construction on adaptations and modifications needed to configure space reflecting the service requirements for the town centre hub.
- Lead on other associated work to deliver the Workplace and Resident Access strategy as identified.
