About the Opportunity
We are looking for experienced and compassionate SEN Tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition to secondary-aged learners in and around the Bromley area, supporting students from Year 7 through to GCSE. The learners may have additional needs or circumstances that make attending mainstream school difficult. This could include SEND, anxiety, gaps in education, behavioural or emotional needs, or prolonged absence from school.
As an outreach tutor, you will provide structured and engaging lessons tailored to the individual learner. The aim is not only to improve academic attainment, but also to help students rebuild confidence, develop positive attitudes towards learning and gradually re-engage with education.
Strong secondary-level Maths and English teaching experience is essential. Tutors who can also confidently deliver Science, particularly GCSE Science, will be especially welcomed.
Most assignments provide around 10-15 hours of tuition per learner each week, usually during school hours. Sessions may be delivered in the learner's home, a community setting or another appropriate location.
