Our client, Camden Council, is looking for a Head of Corporate Resilience to join their team.
The Corporate Resilience, CCTV & Responsive Security Service is part of the council’s Public Safety Division and plays an integral role in developing and implementing policy in the area of critical and major incident management. The service provides the necessary assurance with regard to the Council’s readiness and preparedness to respond to significant events as a Category 1 responder outlined within the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. The service has developed a strong cross-council approach towards ensuring that there are robust arrangements in place to enable the Council to deliver effective and timely responses to a broad range of critical incidents in conjunction with partner organisations and ensuring our local communities are resilient.
The Head of Corporate Resilience will lead the delivery of a wide range of initiatives designed to ensure full scale compliance with the relevant legislative framework and Regional Guidance, such as Resilience Standards for London. The post holder will play a central leadership role in the continuous development, evaluation and improvement of a wide range of Council policies and initiatives as well as imbedding a culture across the council which makes “resilience everyone’s business”. This will ensure that the council maintains a strong emphasis on risk mitigation and business continuity and a best practice approach towards critical incident and emergency management.
The post-holder will also lead the delivery of the CCTV service which is critical to the wider work of the Public Safety Division and oversee the management of the Responsive Security Patrol service.
