Role Overview
As part of Remedy’s performance services team, the performance chef will be responsible for preparing and delivering personalised meals aligned with each client’s nutritional strategy. Working in close collaboration with our performance nutritionists, physiotherapists, and training staff, the chef will play a key role in bringing nutrition plans to life in a practical, accessible, and performance-enhancing way.
This role combines culinary creativity with elite-level precision to support recovery, training, and long-term health.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare fresh, high-performance meals tailored to each client’s nutrition plan, preferences, and lifestyle.
• Collaborate with Remedy’s performance nutrition team to ensure all meals align with current fuelling, recovery, and supplementation strategies.
• Safely store, transport, and deliver meals from Remedy cooking facilities to client homes, maintaining strict temperature control and hygiene protocols.
• Maintain up-to-date food hygiene records, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and allergen documentation, in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Plan menus based on goals such as body composition, injury recovery, or training load.
• Liaise with household staff or external caterers to coordinate delivery and storage of meals as needed.
• Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Monitor and adapt meal delivery in response to evolving nutritional feedback and client preferences.
• Source premium, local, and sustainable ingredients that meet individual health and performance goals.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
• Recognised professional chef qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety certification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience preparing bespoke meals for high-performance or high-net-worth individuals.
• Full UK driving licence and confident transporting food safely across London.
• Proven ability to follow and implement performance nutrition guidelines in practical settings.
• Strong understanding of macronutrient composition, dietary needs, and allergy management.
• A discreet, client-centred approach and an understanding of the standards required in high-performance environments.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety certification.
• 5+ years’ experience working in private households, touring environments, or professional sport.
• Familiarity with performance-focused protocols (e.g. fuelling, recovery windows, hydration).
• Confident working across varied dietary approaches (e.g. gluten-free, plant-based, low FODMAP).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nutritionists and medical staff.
