Remedy International Medical are working with an established hospital in Bermuda, which is a British Overseas Territory to recruit an experienced Quality Manager, within the Quality & Risk Management Department. The hospital is seeking a qualified, highly motivated and skilled professional nurse to work in a supportive, but demanding environment. The ability to work harmoniously within a team of professionals is critical as we continue to improve patient care.
The Quality Manager will act as the key resource for quality, patient safety, and performance improvement for designated Clinical Teams within Hospital Units. Additionally, the Quality Manager will lead, oversee specific Quality, Patient Safety & Clinical Risk Departmental functions, as well as represent the Department on specific committees and forums.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supports Clinical Units with the adoption of and compliance with best practice, accreditation standards and the Model for Improvement.
- Supports the planning / implementation of safety initiatives and process improvements.
- Participates in the root cause analysis (RCA) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) processes to prevent or investigate sentinel events as required.
- Supports the development, implementation, and follow-up of pro-active / reactive risk management strategies.
- Supports metric development, data collection, analysis and reporting for designated Units – turning data into meaningful knowledge for the Department.
- Promotes a culture of safety / quality (including providing support for Unit-Based Quality Teams).
Qualifications/Experience & Registration required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in other clinical discipline, strongly preferred.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or equivalent.
- Three to five (3 – 5) years of work experience in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of accreditation processes is an asset.
- Experience in successfully implementing a major change initiative in a hospital / healthcare setting.
Package:
- Starting Salary: $119,070.78
- Subsidised housing for the first 3 months.
- Travel and relocation allowance, plus an attractive benefits package.
Schedule: 35 hours per week.
