Remedy International Medical are working with an established hospital in Bermuda, which is a British Overseas Territory to recruit a qualified and highly motivated Clinical Manager within the Inpatient (Mental Health) Services Directorate. Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe patient care and maintaining operational aspects of patient care in collaboration with other service areas within MWI and BHB, as well as with the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining the strategic action plans for their department
- Offering clinical expertise and leadership in the specialty of Acute Inpatient Mental Health Services in carrying out the strategic direction and service development
- Collection and preparation of department statistics
- Assuming acting responsibilities for administrative coverage for other Managers and their own Director
- Developing new departmental policies and procedures in accordance with hospital guidelines, regulatory bodies, and best practices
- Accountable for budget performance and labor costs for the Unit
- Monitors daily, weekly, and monthly operational and clinical indicators to identify, explain, and correct variances in a timely manner as defined and required by the Organization
- Reviews time and attendance. Adjust staff allocations according to patient needs and acuity
- Conducts and documents operational and safety audits, mock tracers according to Hospital requirements. Develops and implements as appropriate. Reports results to the Director
Qualifications & Registration required:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, nursing, counselling, or related field with a concentration in mental health from an accredited school required, or equivalent training, certification, and/or experience
- Five years of management experience (either in a supervisory or functional area)
- Maintains current licensure and registration with the professional body, i.e., the Bermuda Nurses Council or Allied Health Council
- Demonstrated experience with financial statements and budgets preferred
Package:
- Starting Salary: $138,898.14 per annum
- Subsidised housing for the first 3 months
- Travel and relocation allowance, plus an attractive benefits package.
Schedule: 35 hrs per week
