This is a unique opportunity to work in a creative and student-focused environment where education is about more than just academics-it's about transformation, self-expression, and growth.

About the School

This is not a traditional school. It’s a specialist performing arts college designed for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), social anxiety, trauma, and SEN requirements. Many students here have struggled in mainstream education, but through music, drama, and the arts, they are rediscovering their confidence and potential. The school believes in creative freedom and individuality, shaping a curriculum that helps students develop both artistically and personally. Every lesson is a chance to connect, inspire, and nurture talent in an environment where students are encouraged to be themselves.

The Role

  • Lead engaging vocal lessons tailored to each student’s ability and interests.
  • Encourage self-expression through music, helping students build confidence.
  • Support students with SEMH needs through patience, adaptability, and creativity.
  • Work within a supportive team, with an Arts Administrator managing scheduling and student goals.
  • Provide an inclusive and inspiring learning experience, whether working towards graded exams or exploring personal musical styles.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH or SEN needs.
  • A strong background in vocal coaching, with a genuine passion for music and performance.
  • The ability to connect with and inspire students, helping them find their voice-literally and figuratively.
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to student well-being.
  • Adaptability, patience, and a creative approach to learning.
