Location: Forest Gate Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (Training Day) Salary: £115-£120 per day Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking dedicated Therapeutic Education Practitioners to join our dynamic team across our therapeutic education sites, supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The Role As a Therapeutic Education Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of our students. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: * Build positive, trusting relationships with students to support their emotional wellbeing and engagement in learning * Deliver therapeutic interventions and educational activities in line with individual education plans (IEPs) * Work collaboratively with therapists, teachers, and families to provide holistic support * Promote positive behaviour strategies and manage challenging behaviour with empathy and understanding * Participate in regular training and reflective practice sessions every Friday at our Barking site What We Are Looking For * Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health needs * Understanding of trauma-informed approaches * A compassionate, patient, and resilient nature * Ability to build positive relationships with both students and colleagues * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or therapeutic disciplines (desirable) What We Offer * Ongoing training and professional development opportunities * Supportive, multidisciplinary team environment * The chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable young people * Competitive salary and benefits package If you are passionate about supporting young people and want to be part of a dedicated team, we would love to hear from you.
