Are you an experienced and flexible Teaching Assistant looking for daily supply work in a specialist secondary school setting? Remedy Education is currently recruiting for reliable and compassionate Supply Teaching Assistants to work on a flexible, day-to-day basis at a well-established PMLD secondary school in Greenwich. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a highly supportive SEN environment, with the flexibility to choose the days you work.
About the Role:
You will be supporting secondary-aged students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, including complex medical needs, physical disabilities, and non-verbal communication. Each day brings new challenges and rewards in this nurturing and specialist setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support for students with severe and complex needs
- Assist with personal care, including toileting and feeding
- Use sensory-based approaches and assistive communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton, Eye Gaze)
- Support students' emotional well-being and physical comfort throughout the day
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and healthcare professionals
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a SEN or care setting (essential), ideally with PMLD
- Comfortable providing personal care and medical support under guidance
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to different classrooms and students
- A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
