Cover SENCO - SEN Primary School Hackney
Full Time £210-250 per day

Remedy Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Cover SENCO to join a supportive SEN Primary School in Hackney. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and organised SEN professional to support the school's SEND provision and ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team, teaching staff, and external professionals to coordinate and oversee the delivery of high-quality SEN support across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the school's SEND provision during the cover period
- Oversee and review EHCPs, support plans, and SEN interventions
- Work closely with teachers to ensure effective differentiation and inclusive practice
- Coordinate support staff and ensure appropriate provision for pupils with additional needs
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and local authority professionals
- Monitor pupil progress and ensure compliance with SEND legislation and school policies
- Support staff with guidance on SEN strategies and behaviour support
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a SENCO or Assistant SENCO
- NASENCO qualification or working towards it
- Strong knowledge of EHCP processes and SEND Code of Practice
- Experience working in a primary or SEN school setting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
