SEN Tutor - Shropshire Position: SEN Specialist Tutor - One-to-One Tuition Location: Shropshire Hours: 25 hours per week Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5 hours per day Pay: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications Contract: Ongoing placement About the Role Remedy Tutors is looking for a patient, dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to provide intensive one-to-one tuition to a student in Shropshire who is working towards their GCSE Foundation-level qualifications. The student requires a personalised approach to learning, with lessons adapted to their individual abilities and educational needs. You will provide consistent support throughout the school week, helping the student develop their subject knowledge, build confidence and make progress towards their GCSE goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor who is passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities Deliver 25 hours of one-to-one tuition per week, Monday to Friday. Support the student in working towards GCSE Foundation-level qualifications. Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the student's learning needs. Adapt teaching methods and resources to support individual abilities. Identify gaps in learning and reinforce key subject knowledge. Build a positive, trusting relationship with the student. Encourage confidence, engagement and independent learning. Monitor progress and adapt lessons to support ongoing development. Essential Requirements Experience teaching or tutoring students with SEN. Knowledge of the GCSE Foundation curriculum. Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs. A patient, flexible and encouraging approach. Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
