Key Stages: Secondary, KS3 and KS4

Salary: £97 - £115 per day (Depending on experience/Qualifications)

Job Description: Remedy are excited to be working with a friendly, inclusive school that goes above and beyond to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Remedy are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join an exceptional Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Canterbury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting students with a variety of SEN, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs, across the school day.
  • Supporting teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.
  • Collaborating with teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, and families to provide consistent, targeted support.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Helping students develop independence, confidence, and key life skills.
  • Observing and reporting on student progress to inform teaching strategies and support plans.

  • Experienced or eager to be an SEN Support Worker with students with SEN, showing patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Committed to helping students succeed and confident in building strong, supportive relationships.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Knowledgeable, or willing to develop knowledge, of SEN, behaviour management strategies, and personalised support approaches.
