PMLD SEN Support Assistant – Secondary SEN School Location: Greenwich, South East London Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday Job Type: Full-Time Term-Time Only Immediate Start Pay Rate: 110 – 120 per day (depending on experience) A well-resourced and supportive secondary SEN school in Greenwich is seeking a compassionate and experienced PMLD SEN Support Assistant to join their team. The school caters for students aged 11-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical and physical needs. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with significant additional needs in a nurturing, structured environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with PMLD Assist with personal care, including toileting, feeding, and changing Support students with mobility and access needs (hoisting/manual handling required) Facilitate sensory-based learning and therapeutic activities Work closely with teachers, therapists, and medical staff to deliver holistic care Maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment Requirements: Previous experience supporting students with PMLD or severe learning difficulties Comfortable providing personal care and physical support Training in Manual Handling, Hoisting, or PEG Feeding is an advantage Strong communication, patience, and a nurturing approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What the School Offers: A welcoming and dedicated staff team Excellent specialist facilities including sensory rooms and therapy spaces Ongoing training and development A chance to make a real impact in the lives of young people with complex needs Interested in joining this fantastic school?
