Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children or young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour.

The Role

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs and neurodiverse profiles both in and outside the classroom
  • Build positive relationships that promote trust, confidence, and engagement
  • Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, sensory needs, and social development
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff, and external professionals
  • Encourage student participation, independence, and achievement
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, neurodiversity, or behavioural needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
