Remedy Education are looking for a caring and organised Medical Welfare Officer to join a school based in Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong medical, welfare, first aid or school support experience who is confident supporting pupils with medical needs and helping to maintain a safe, calm and supportive school environment. The school are looking for someone who is reliable, professional and able to work closely with pupils, parents, staff and external professionals to ensure medical and welfare procedures are followed correctly.

The Role
- Provide first aid and medical support to pupils and staff where required
- Manage and maintain accurate medical records and care plans
- Administer medication in line with school policies and procedures
- Support pupils with ongoing medical needs throughout the school day
- Liaise with parents, carers, school staff and external agencies
- Monitor pupil wellbeing and respond to medical or welfare concerns
- Ensure medical supplies, first aid boxes and records are kept up to date
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality procedures at all times
- Support the wider pastoral and welfare team when needed
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience in a medical, welfare, first aid, healthcare or school support role
- A valid First Aid qualification is desirable
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confidence handling medical information and maintaining confidentiality
- A calm, caring and professional approach
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
