We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and reliable Healthcare School Assistant to join a supportive school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody with healthcare or support experience who is passionate about supporting children with additional medical and learning needs within an educational setting. The school is specifically looking for a candidate with Epilepsy Training and experience supporting vulnerable children or young people.
The Role:
- Supporting students with medical and additional needs throughout the school day
- Providing personal care and wellbeing support where required
- Monitoring and supporting students with epilepsy and following care plans appropriately
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and healthcare professionals
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Helping to maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous healthcare, care, or SEN support experience
- Hold Epilepsy Training or relevant medical support training
- Be calm, patient, and compassionate
- Be confident supporting personal care where required
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
