Hourly Rate: £16 - £18 per hour

Contract: Full-time, term time only (agency to permanent opportunity) working 7.45am to 4.15pm.

Remedy is working with a welcoming and well-organised Secondary school seeking an experienced and resilient Administrative Assistant to join their team. This is a front-facing, fast-paced role with the opportunity to transition from agency to a permanent position.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office, working closely with senior leaders. Acting as the first point of contact for parents, staff and visitors, you will maintain a professional and welcoming environment while managing a wide range of administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to senior leadership
  • Manage complex diaries, meetings, and school communications
  • Coordinate supply staff and daily cover arrangements
  • Handle enquiries via phone, email and in person with professionalism and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records and data using school systems - Arbour
  • Support HR processes including recruitment administration and compliance checks
  • Assist with pupil admissions, records and general office organisation
  • Contribute to safeguarding and compliance procedures at all times

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in a busy school office environment
  • Need to have SIMS, Bromcom or Arbor experience
  • Highly organised with excellent multitasking and time management skills
  • Resilient and calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication skills and confident dealing with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience managing diaries and coordinating staffing/cover arrangements
  • Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Professional, proactive and able to use initiative
