We are seeking committed and experienced SEN Tutors to provide tailored support to young people across Havering. This is a highly rewarding role offering the opportunity to positively influence both the academic progress and emotional wellbeing of students with Special Educational Needs.
- Location: Havering
- Position: SEN Tutor
- Hours: Approx. 2 Hours/week (potential for additional hours up to part or full-time)
- Rate: £25.00 - £35.00 per hour
- Contract: Ongoing
The successful candidates will:
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to students who may have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, ASD and other profiles
- Ensure the pupils feel safe and secure, ensuring their well-being
- Build positive and professional relationships with students and families
- Support students' confidence, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning
- Track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide monthly reports to parents and or teachers.
Requirements:
- UK recognised teaching qualification
- Demonstrable experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
