We are seeking committed and experienced SEN Tutors to provide tailored support to young people across Havering. This is a highly rewarding role offering the opportunity to positively influence both the academic progress and emotional wellbeing of students with Special Educational Needs.

  • Location: Havering
  • Hours: Approx. 2 Hours/week (potential for additional hours up to part or full-time)
  • Rate: £28.00 - £35.00 per hour
  • Contract: Ongoing

The successful candidates will:

  • Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to students who may have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, ASD and other profiles
  • Ensure the pupils feel safe and secure, ensuring their well-being
  • Build positive and professional relationships with students and families
  • Support students' confidence, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning
  • Track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and provide monthly reports to parents and/or teachers.

Requirements:

  • UK recognised teaching qualification
  • Demonstrable experience supporting children or young people with SEN
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Sessions are arranged around your availability, offering genuine flexibility.
