Remedy are looking for a Part-Time SEN Educator to work with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), providing tailored education sessions in their homes, community spaces such as libraries, or online. This is a rewarding opportunity to help re-engage learners who may be out of school or require bespoke education packages as part of their EHCP or therapeutic support plan.

About the Role:

You will work 1:1 with pupils who require a personalised and relationship-based approach to learning. The young people you support may have autism, ADHD, sensory needs, anxiety, or social, emotional and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and adaptive learning sessions across core subjects and/or creative areas

Travel to learner\’s homes or nearby libraries to create a calm and focused learning environment

Build trusting relationships that promote emotional safety and a positive attitude toward learning

Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to support behaviour and engagement

Collaborate with families, therapists, and case coordinators to ensure consistent, holistic support

Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to the learner\’s wider support plan

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly those with SEMH, ASD, or anxiety-related needs

Confidence working independently in homes, community settings, and online platforms

A calm, patient and responsive teaching style

Strong communication and organisation skills

A background in education, youth work, SEN support, or therapy

A QTS, PGCE or Bachelors Degree in Education

Access to reliable transport and a willingness to travel within a reasonable local area
