About the Role
We are working with two friendly schools in East Ham who are looking for a reliable and hands-on School Caretaker to support the day-to-day running of their sites. This is a split-shift role, ideal for someone local and experienced in school or site management environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and securing the school buildings
- Basic maintenance and minor repairs
- Health & Safety checks and site inspections
- Setting up rooms and halls as required
- Grounds maintenance and litter picking
- Supporting fire safety procedures and alarms
- Liaising with school staff and contractors
Requirements
- Previous caretaker or site assistant experience (school experience preferred)
- Good understanding of Health & Safety
- Reliable, punctual, and practical
- Able to work independently across two sites
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
