Role Overview: As a GCSE Maths and English Tutor, you will work with students of varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to excel in their exams. You will create tailored lesson plans, provide guidance, and offer support in both subjects to ensure students are fully prepared for their GCSE assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in GCSE Maths and English.
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create individual learning plans based on students' needs and abilities, including those with SEN.
- Offer exam preparation, revision support, and help with past paper practice.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths and English curriculum.
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- A PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience tutoring or teaching students at GCSE level (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
