We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated GCSE Maths and English Tutor with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join our team and help students succeed in their GCSE exams.

Role OverviewAs a GCSE Maths and English Tutor, you will work with students of varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to excel in their exams. You will create tailored lesson plans, provide guidance, and offer support in both subjects to ensure students are fully prepared for their GCSE assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in GCSE Maths and English.

Assess students\’ progress and provide constructive feedback.

Create individual learning plans based on students\’ needs and abilities, including those with SEN.

Offer exam preparation, revision support, and help with past paper practice.

Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Communicate with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths and English curriculum.

Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

A PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent teaching qualification.

Proven experience tutoring or teaching students at GCSE level (preferred but not essential).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A passion for helping students succeed and reach their full potential.

Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt to different learning styles.

DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable Skills

Previous tutoring experience (private or group).

Experience with online tutoring platforms (if applicable).

Understanding of exam board specifications (Edexcel, AQA, etc.).
