We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school who are seeking a long-term Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic Year 1 team from February half term.

This role would suit a Teaching Assistant with Early Years experience who is passionate about supporting young learners and helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

The role:

  • Support pupils within a Year 1 classroom, including those with SEND
  • Work closely with the class teacher to support learning and development
  • Provide targeted support to help pupils access the curriculum
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion across the classroom
  • Be an active, reliable member of the wider school team

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children in Early Years or Key Stage 1
  • Demonstrate a good standard of English and Mathematics
  • Be patient, positive, and nurturing in their approach
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Be committed to inclusion and ensuring the best outcomes for all pupils
  • Confidently use positive behaviour management strategies
